Music has been an integral part of my life since childhood.  Pretty much all of my memories revolve around music and singing with my siblings or being in a band or singing group.

Since growing up, getting married and now starting my own family, music has continued to be a part of everyday life.  I graduated from Crown College in 2003 with a Bachelor's in Music Education (K-12) and have been teaching private lessons for 20 years.  In addition to teaching private lessons, I also spent four years in the classroom, as a part-time music teacher at St. John's Lutheran School in Chaska.  This was a wonderful opportunity to interact with children of all ages, as well as bring music into their lives in a fun and educational way.

I am a member of the Minnesota Music Teacher's Association, Music Teacher's National Association, and am the Program Director for the MMTA State Piano Contest Finals held annually.

I believe in the power of music and the importance of empowering children to take ownership of their lessons.  And most importantly I believe in loving music and making it fun.  Music is all around us and even inside us.  We are drawn to music and making music is such a joy and privilege.  I hope you'll join me in making music!
